Okay so I used to live in New York, and I moved to Texas about 1 year ago. I love to snowboard. I was good too, not in a bragging way, but it is important to the question. I would definatly put it in the crockpot. It may take 5-8 hours on low. I would season it with lemon pepper and some nice herbs like rosemary and thyme. Why do cons think gay people can't be good parents?

I hear this argument from the right that a hetero couple is preferable to a gay people. Really? What if the gay couple are two harvard graduates with six figure incomes who are also philanthropists? What if the hetero couple lives in a trailer park and the husband is an alcoholic wifebeater? So this argument sounds spurious to me. Why don't people look at the individuals rather than the ual orientation? People aren't just 'gay', they also are human beings. Are gays good parents? I don't know. Why don't we take it on a case-by-case basis? Would Lance B make a good parent? (I think yes) Would Ellen Degeneres make a good parent? (I think yes) Would Elton John make a good parent? (probably not) It's not enough to say, "Well this couple is gay and this couple is straight so obviously hetero couple wins." What is wrong with my fish?

I have a 3 month old Molly that hasn't been acting well for the past week. She lives in a 5 gallon tank with 3 other baby Mollies - salinity 1.010, pH 8.2, ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 5, temp was at 72 (I read fish are more disease resistant at lower temps). She swims and wobbles at the surface of the water and is unable to swim down, listless, and has difficulty eating/loss of appetite. Research indicated possible swim bladder disease (bacterial infection). I've used Erythromycin to successfully treat gram-negative and gram-positive infections in the past. I read that it would treat swim bladder. I've been treating with Erythromycin for the past 5 days (requires 10 days). The wobbling stopped, but still not much improvement. I found out that raising the temp to 82-84 helps control disease. I've been steadily raising the temp over the past 3 days and it's now at 80. She possibly seems a little better. I have already lost 3 other fish to similar symptoms resembling whirling disease.

Are my habits leading to Anorexia?

I know you really don't want to hear this, but i've been dealing with anorexia for about a year now. And yes, it sucks. i'd have to be dumb to think i was fat. I mean im 90 pounds, 5'4" and 17 years old. But, whenever i look in the mirror i see myself as being fat, and i feel fat whenever i eat. But i've gotten through it lately. I eat light foods in small amounts throughout the day, this way you don't feel full, and you aren't totally stopping either. This is what i had to do to become healthier again. But, please don't lean towards anorexia. People that struggle with anorexia never truly get over the disease. It's truly terrible and you will feel as if there's no way out. If you really want to lose weight and actually feel good about yourself..then hit up the gym! Working out makes you feel good about your body rather than just starving yourself. I know im not one to talk, but if i could go back and change my anorexia, i would.

i have experience with children that have been abused, and its very hard for other people to understand, isn't it? It feels like no one understands the torment that haunts abuse victims for the rest of their lives! First of all, do not kill yourself, there is so much opportunity to live for, and its so easy to get help... go to a doctor tell them about your depression and that it coudl possibly be post traumtic stress disoder- it will be really scary at first to do this- but i know you can! You are probably a very strong person inside and you deserve this!

I always advise not to buy a laptop unless you need the portability or don't have the space, they are expensive to fix if you get a problem and you will get alot more for your money witha desktop. Try to get one with XP not VISTA as it is still going throught the usual windows problems with a new version.

My finch seems to have lost all of the longer feathers from one wing?

My female fire finch is sitting on the floor. Upon closer examination, she is missing most of the longer feathers on one wing. she can fly, but not far and not high. Otherwise, she seems fine. No feathers missing elsewhere, not in any quantity,anyway. I can see the longer wing feathers tered on the bottom of the cage. She is not puffed up or sickly looking. Legs are fine and the feet as well. After I picked her up to examine her, then let her loose on the cage floor she fluttered upwards and clung to the cage bars for a short time, then settled back onto the floor. Is this a normal molt, or is this a problem? The pair get along well, sit next to each other, etc. The male will sometimes sit on the cage floor next to the female. But a couple of weeks ago I did see the male pull a feather from the female and drop it to the floor. I never saw that behavior again, though, and I do check them often and watch them for periods during the day. The male is not aggressive.

I have been thinking of starting up a small tutoring business instead of getting a part time job somewhere. Just like posting up a brochure or advertisement with my name and number. Problems after on-pump byp surgery ?

5 days ago my grandpa(67) had on-pump byp surgury and the doctor has said that he has been progressing a little slow post surgury. Last night he tryed to get out of bed to go home and today he was yelling at my grandma and the nurses saying they we stealing his electronics and slapped the nurses arms and kept asking my cousin whos dog was running in his room but there was no dog and was throwing away trash that wasnt there..They determined that he has had multiple strokes and they said that this is the reason for his abnormal behavior...I was just wanting to know if this behavior and low mental capacity I should come to expect or if its more likely they are short term effects from the surgury and Stokes

No or little heat in a 1993 astro van?

My friend has a 1993 Chevy astro van AWD. He recently replaced the heater core and thermostat. When the van is idling, the heat is basically not there. When he gets on the gas the heat picks up a little. The temp guage shows just under a quarter most of the time. He emptied the cooling system and refilled it with 50/50 coolant and nothing has changed. I work at a garage in the area and I have no clue what else can be wrong and neither does the other people I work with. Any one have a clue?

1994 chevy astro work minivan. just started to have trouble starting?

the other day i started it up and it ran good . went about 45 miles with one stop still ran good.i parked it for just a minute and tried to start it to move it closer to where i had to unload somethings and it turned over quite a few times hard and it finally started . i had to run it at high idle for it to move. i left there to come back with one stop to get 2 cans of dry gas and put that in tank. van still hard to start and run slow. once i got it moving faster the van seemen to run fair to good. got it home and parked it . the next day i tried to start it and put in the back yard to take a look at it. well again the van was very hard to start all of these times when it did start i had the gas peddle down all the way for it to start. it started very hard the same way i drove it about 40 ft and it just stalled. not able to start it . the next day went out to try to start it and the same thing very hard to start. but it did once and i reved it up but as soon as i let it idle it stalled

The other day in PE, everyone was igned in groups for a relay race. Of course, I was the slowest out of my whole group, which happened to be full of over-excited, win obsessed boys. Whenever it was my turn to go, they would yell & scream, "GO!! RUN FASTER, FASTER, FASTER! God, stop being so slow!" I even told them ahead of time that I was slow & that they need to be patient with me. Well, I tried to run as fast as I could so I wouldn't have to listen to them b**ch at me later & it resulted in me wiping out twice. The first time, I fell on my back (which isn't good at all considering my scoliosis). I sucked it up & kept going. The second time is when I was really hurt... I fell forward & landed on my hip whilst skidding across the floor & punching myself in the ribcage in an attempt to catch myself (which obviously failed). It knocked the wind out of me & I was just laying on the floor. What really pissed me, my family, & my friends off is that none of my team or cl mates came to help me while I was laying on the ground, hurt & unable to breath. Instead they started yelling at me calling me slow & worthless. By the time I started to breath again, I looked at my hip, which had a giant purple, puffy skid on it that was bleeding. Some of you may ask, "Where was your teacher when all of this was going on?" ...He wasn't paying attention. I didn't even bother telling him, he's a gym obsessed freak. It's a healthy breakfast. I would go with the whole wheat with a little bit of peanut er. I would add in some kind of protein as well though. Opinions on covenant weddings?

A few months ago I heard of a thing called a covenant wedding. It's a legal marriage license that is more binding than a regular license. It does not allow "no fault" divorce. The only way to get a divorce out of these are adultery, abuse, or one partner commits a felony. I think it is a great way to take a stand for marriage as it is meant to be- a lifetime. TERRIBILE TWO'S question...?

My son just turned 2 at the beginning of January and for the last two weeks it has felt like a war zone in our house. Kai's will against mom's. I don't care to him, I tried that once and I felt like the biggest ****** in the whole world. I just can't see how hitting someone and then telling them not to hit is an efficient discipline, besides being hypocritical. I have used time outs for a while now, 1 minute for every year of his age and for some things it seems to help almost immediatley, but not this mean behaviour that is occuring lately. My sweet child has turned into a hitting, punching, kicking, pinching, poking, scratching, hair pulling machine just in the last 14 days and I keep putting him in time out every instance but it keeps happening so will it eventually work? So i was seeing this guy for on and off for like over a year. If it's about your grandparents, I would put in anything that reminds you of them.. down to candy they use to give you, how they impacted your life as an artist supporting you.. maybe giving you those first crayola crayons ya know. Sometimes all those little things bring the story together. After all you are telling the story now. Other example... books you use to read, pictures you took.. I'm a little scared right now...so my little sister was sick last night, we ume a stomach bug, she threw up but we took care of it. My son was born premature, has physically grown out of that, but I worry about his mental. We know he's not handicapped mentally, however we have tried to teach him the things most 4 yr olds have down,(shapes,colors, etc.) every other time he gets colors right but shapes, Circle is the only one he seems to be able to identify readily. We are currently haveing him tested to see if he needs special language thearapy, but so far the tester can't get a good understanding because consistenly he get one answer right and on wrong. I know my son is smart, he does things that prove it , I am at my wits end trying to communicate with him and teach him the things he needs to enter kindergarten and excel in academics. I am a poor mom I can't afford all the dr. help available. So maybe someone can give me some stories, clues, advice, hints any thing to help me figure out how to gwt a smart boy over a unknown hump.
