What is the topic sentence?

The topic sentence is always the first sentence, or at least the first sentence that actually describes or leads into the topic. Kinda like funniest home video hosts will use a prop or joke to lead into the next segment of videos. In this case, the topic is Wuthering Heights... which is in the midst of the desolate English moors... thus, the first sentence is the topic sentence.
