What does this poem mean....?

To me it is talking about him losing God in the world. After being drawn into a life of drinking (Out here we is stoned). He says he meets Freedom and Enterprise. He went into a life of business and freedom he thought he wanted, but at the end of the day he wishes he could go back. In the beginning he says, No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn. This shows regret for wasting the days he wishes he could go back to now.
