If a company fired me saying I was talking about my wages.(Iwasnt),Why would they offer my job back?

This girl on my old job was presiing for questions as to how much I made previously and currently, becaue I had caught onto the job so fast. She figured I was getting paid good. I told her how much without really thinking its a problem. That was it. i come back from lunch and the boss says she hears I was engaging of talking about wages, and she fired me. I have a lawsuit on the company,they were served papers and now they are trying to offer me my job back. Doesnt this say that thery know they are wrong? If i was so wrong why are you trying to offer my job back. Strange hmmmm
